Release Day!
The time has come…
That’s right! It’s release day for In Search of a Hero, and I cannot even express how excited I am to share it with the world.
But, as these things happen, this weekend has been extraordinarily busy. It’s 6pm and I’ve only just had a moment to sit down and write this now. My mum (Kiera) and the family are visiting, and we’re putting the most gorgeous oak flooring in our conservatory.

Work in progress!
One day, the plan is to have a dedicated writing space, and I can’t wait! For now, though, I cram into a corner of the living room and type furiously on my PC, or whirl around the house looking for inspiration with my tablet. Or, if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll take myself out to a coffee shop for the vibes (and usually a luxurious hot chocolate!)
For anyone who hasn’t already read my first book, In Search of a Hero, you can pick it up here. It’s a slow-burn, marriage of convenience, friends to lovers Regency Romance. There’s a bit of steam, a bit of murder, and a whole lot of angst. And it’s available on KU!
“My solution is drastic, but I think you will find it preferable. I, at least, am in possession of all my teeth, the last time I checked.”
She looked up at him in blatant shock, and Nathanial encountered his second surprise of the day when he discovered that little Theo, whom he had seen more as a grubby child than a young lady, was remarkably pretty.
“Good God,” she said. “You can’t be suggesting what I think you’re suggesting.”
“This is extremely disheartening.”
“Nate, you—” She swallowed. “You must be joking. Why would you want to marry me?”
“You must learn to accept your proposals with a little more grace, my dear.”
And if you haven’t picked it up already, get your FREE steamy epilogue to In Search of a Hero here.
Happy reading. Until next time 🙂
~ Terri
Hello! Kiera here. My silver birch is burgeoning into leaf, and the wild cherry has a shy smile blushing her branches. There’s no doubt - it’s spring and time to get busy! 😊
This weekend I’m visiting Terri (DC 1) for . . .
wait for it . . .
the launch of COPPERPLATE BOOKS!! Nearly two years in the planning, I can hardly believe we’re actually there and I’m so excited. Oh, and did I say terrified? Because her first book is AMAAAZING and mine, due to follow in July, will have a mountain to live up to. Yikes!
At least climbing mountains is a favourite activity of mine. Do you like this one I visited in the Azores?

But what of my Pistols and Pastels series? With an emphasis on strong heroines and witty dialogue, it’s a fun, adventurous Regency romp in the style of Georgette Heyer. Here are a couple of snippets from Book One . . .
By the time she’d been compared with nearly every type of flower that blooms in an English garden, she was heartily sick of horticultural similes.
A trickle of ice slithered down her throat. The one man who made her feel special was as cold and uncaring as the rest of his family.
When I’ve finished laying Terri’s flooring, I may be able to get back to finalising the ending and prepping the cover for release! My writing space at home is by the window in my study with a view across the moors, but when the fancy (or panicked desperation) takes me, a remote corner of a Scottish island with 120m of foreshore has an irresistible pull, and it is there that I’m most prolific.
If I can’t sort the ending soon, you can imagine me heading for the ferry!
Until soon,
Kiera
